How can I pass my Canadian interview?
- Immigration interviews are very rare for most Applications in the Express Entry System. But there are sometimes exceptions in other categories.
- Spousal Sponsorships
- Sometimes immigration officers of the opinion that the sponsorship is not a genuine relationship. They may ask you and your partner or spouse to attend an interview.
- If they refuse the case then you may be able to appeal the case to the IRB Appeal Division. If you cannot appeal to the Appeal Division then your only choice will likely appeal to the Federal Court of Canada.
- Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications
- In some situations, the immigration officer might have concerns of the credibility of the application and request that the persons applying attend an interview
- Interviews are often required if someone is out of legal status and may be required to attend an interview with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)
- Spousal Sponsorships
- Passing these interviews requires you to have an understanding of what the issues are. It is generally advised to seek competent counsel who has had experience in representing clients at the interview as long as they are an immigration consultant who is regulated by the Canadian College of Immigration Consultants, A Member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec or a Member of a Provincial Law Society.
